Vicarage Gate, Kensington

Inspired by Constantin Brâncuși’s Infinite Column, this jewel box garden in West London was created for a client who was happy for us to let our imagination run wild. Black and white Sicilian pebble flows freely around a fragmented limestone carpet, while Corten steel planters hold leafy green planting. The steel towers, evoking Brâncuși, are softened by the yew growing within. Within the front garden are three Japanese maples that give the courtyard a unique woodland feel, while brightly coloured, glazed planters bring a splash of colour. This garden was created with Todd Longstaffe-Gowan.
