Hampstead

Poised, right on the edge of Hampstead Heath, the garden for this redevelopment of a 1950’s house is a simple nod to the austere, yet sophisticated, modernist aesthetic of the house and interiors. Generous paving surrounds the building, which then rises to a secluded seating area overlooking the garden. As one pulls away from the house, the design becomes increasingly subdued, blending nicely into the forest beyond.

Planning on this project was granted in May 2024, and the construction was completed the following year. This project was a collaboration with William Paul Architects.
