Sat in a gently sloped basin in the Kentish High Weald, this 16th Century farmhouse garden was once surrounded by fruit trees but had lost much of its original charm due to a series of evergreen hedges that segregated much of the landscape. We removed many of these hedges, connecting the house with the garden, with the landscape beyond. We rerouted the driveway to follow the old drover’s route, around the house and out of the formal garden. In addition to this we created a kitchen garden complete with a new glasshouse.

Work begun on this project in February 2021 and phase 1 was completed in the Autumn of 2023.
